STORY: U.S. President Donald Trump and his Secretary of State Marco Rubio attended the UFC 316 event at the Prudential Center in Newark on Saturday (June 7).

Trump received a standing ovation as he entered the arena with UFC President Dana White, waving at and shaking hands with fans before greeting the commentary team that included podcaster Joe Rogan, a vocal supporter of his.

Trump was joined by his children Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump who was seen later on the UFC broadcast.

UFC 316 features a high-stakes bantamweight title rematch between Georgian wrestler Merab Dvalishvili, who is riding off a 11-fight win streak, and American striker Sean O'Malley, who suffered his second career loss in an upset to Dvalishvili last September.
