STORY: A beer carnival was held at Meixin Wine Town in Fuling District, southwest China's Chongqing on Saturday, attracting large numbers of local residents and tourists.

Amid the sweltering heat, the scenic spot hosted a beer-drinking competition for heat relief. Competitors raced to chug beer from giant goblets, with the fastest drinker crowned the winner.

Some participants teamed up to challenge with connected beer mugs, while others competed wearing inflatable transparent vests filled with beer. The whole site buzzed with festive excitement.
