CCTV footage showed the moment of an explosion in the eastern city of Kharkiv on Sunday (July 26).

Russian strike on Ukraine's Kharkiv killed a 40-year-old woman and wounded 16 people, including her two children, local officials said on Sunday.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said the missile attack, carried out with a "Banderol" munition, damaged more than 10 private homes and completely destroyed one house.

Reuters confirmed the location by the buildings, factory tower, chimney stack, telecoms mast and trees which matched satellite and archive imagery.

The date when the video was filmed was verified by Reuters video of the strike’s aftermath.

There was also a statement from Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, saying that a Russian missile damaged more than 10 private homes and completely destroyed one house.

No older versions found posted online before July 26.
