STORY: People in Tel Aviv took shelter in an underground train station on Sunday (March 1) after a wave of missiles was launched from Iran.

Some said they spent the night at the station, saying they have no shelters at home, others said they prefer to be with many people than alone at their home's shelter.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed on Saturday (February 28), state media confirmed, after the United States and Israel launched the most ambitious attack on Iranian targets in decades.

Iran has called the strikes unprovoked and illegal and responded with missiles fired at Israel and at least seven other countries, including Gulf states that host U.S. bases.
