STORY: Argentina's President Javier Milei visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Sunday (April 19), where he was greeted by a crowd singing upon his arrival at Judaism's holiest prayer site.

Milei was escorted by Shmuel Rabinovitch, rabbi of the Western Wall, and the two read a prayer together in front of the site’s ancient stones. Milei then approached the wall, placing his hands and head against it as security and aides stood nearby.

Milei will be meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later on Sunday and the two leaders will sign bilateral agreements.

He is also expected to take part in country's Independence Day celebrations and light a ceremonial torch at the official Israeli Independence Day torch-lighting ceremony on Tuesday (April 21).
