D006-CHINA PRESENTA NUEVOS ROBOTS CONFERENCIA MUNDIAL IA
STORY: On Saturday (July 26), a four wheel-legged robotic dog was showcased at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai. Named LYNX M20, and developed by China's Deep Robotics, the robot is able to adapt to a multitude of terrain, including grass, sand and forest trails.
The robotic dog is also able to climb up and down steps and walk upright, permitting it to navigate complex environments in an agile manner. The dog can also do backflips.
Qian Xiaoyu, Senior Marketing and Communication Manager of Deep Robotics said the dog, which is equipped with various detection sensors, is designed for search, rescue, industrial inspection and emergency operations in extreme scenarios.
Also at the conference, Huawei Technologies showed off an AI computing system that the Chinese technology giant seeks to capture market share with in the country's growing artificial intelligence sector.
The system has drawn close attention from the global AI community since Huawei first announced it in April. Industry analysts view it as a direct competitor to Nvidia's GB200 NVL72, the U.S. chipmaker's most advanced system-level product currently available on the market.

“Our Robot LYNX M20 has a feature that combines advantages of this wheeled robot and legged one. Wheeled robot is more efficient and faster. The legged one has advantage when overcoming obstacles and crossing various complex terrains. The LYNX M20 with both wheels and legs is a combination of the advantages of both. So it can quickly reach the operation site and at the same time, it was able to overcome some obstacles that the wheeled one could not cross before."

"In fact, the biggest difference between the wheel-legged robot and the legged ones is that the wheel-legged one has a stronger endurance. Wheel-legged ones can also go up steps and go up slopes too. Its load capacity is exactly the same as that of legged ones. Based on some of the needs of wheel-legged ones from our clients, we are also developing the version of the wheel-legged ones."

"At the same time, there are several (humanoid) robots next to it (Unitree B2). The robot might interference with it. I thought it could be troublesome that it might fall down if it keeps walking. But what I found amazing is that it stopped. Even if I pulled it to the robot, it wouldn't go. This shocked me."
