STORY: England supporters celebrated at a fan zone in the outer London suburb of Croyden on Saturday (June 27) as they watched their team beat Panama 2-0.

England fan Marco Helliwell, 38, said the game was a "bit boring" and "underwhelming" but the team did enough to get through to the next round.

"The job's done, we topped the group, well done," Helliwell said.

After a flat first half and a frustrating hour in which England dominated possession without cutting Panama open Jude Bellingham scored one goal and created another for Harry Kane.

"We're struggling to score goals...It's not good enough," said Thamid Ali, 23, after the game.

Another fan, Fazal Ullah (57) was more optimistic, and said he was sure England would "go all the way".

England will play DR Congo, who finished third in Group K after fighting their way back from a half-time deficit to win 3-1 against Uzbekistan, in the Round of 32 on Wednesday (July 1).
