STORY: Jordanians evacuated from Venezuela landed early on Sunday (July 5) morning at Amman City Airport, following deadly twin earthquakes which killed thousands.
Twenty-one citizens who survived the quakes were evacuated on a Qatari plane, as part of coordinated effort with Qatari authorities, Jordan's foreign ministry said in a statement.
One Jordanian survivor described the situation as "very difficult" back in Venezuela.
The death toll from Venezuela's deadly twin quakes rose to 2,954, the Venezuelan information ministry reported on Saturday (July 4).
Rescue operations to search for survivors were still underway, Jorge Rodriguez, the head of Venezuela's National Assembly legislature, added.
