A pair of oversized statuettes resembling the Oscar - Hollywood's most coveted prize - were set in place on the red carpet on Saturday (March 14).

Teams of workers could be seen wheeling in the massive gold colored statuettes and using a crane to set them upright. The twin Oscars stand at the entrance to the theater, just at the end of the red carpet.

On Sunday (March 15) the world's biggest stars and entertainment power players will gather for the 98th annual Academy Awards.
