U.S. President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump were rushed out of the White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Saturday (April 25) after a man opened fire with a shotgun on security personnel outside the venue, officials said.

The shooting prompted the evacuation of several U.S. cabinet members, including Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

The suspect has been arrested and all federal officials at the dinner were safe.
