STORY: Hungary's famous dancing politician stole the show again on Saturday, with an impromptu performance of his viral dance on the steps of the Hungarian parliament, after Peter Magyar was inaugurated as Hungarian Prime Minister.

Zsolt Hegedus, the leading candidate for health minister in the new Hungarian government, went viral after dancing enthusiastically on stage on Sunday (April 12) as the opposition Tisza party celebrated a landslide victory that ended Viktor Orban's long rule.

Hegedus recreated the dance on the steps, complete with air guitar moves on the steps of parliament in front of crowd who had come to see the inauguration projected live on big screens on Parliament Square.

Tens of thousands came to attend the inaugration of center-right leader Peter Magyar, who was sworn in as Hungary's prime minister on Saturday - propelled into office on promises of change after years of economic stagnation and strained ties with key allies under his predecessor Viktor Orban.

Large screens on parliament square broadcast the ceremony happening inside live to the thousands watching the moment in history.

Magyar defeated nationalist Orban after 16 years in power in an April 12 election landslide, handing his Tisza party a constitutional majority that will allow him to roll back reforms critics say have weakened democracy.
