California firefighters continued battling the Lucas Fire on Saturday (September 12), as crews on the ground worked to slow the spread of the blaze.

Footage showed firefighters near the wildfire in Lake County, where authorities issued evacuation orders for parts of the northern California region.

The wildfire had burned 4,008 acres and was 15% contained, according to an update from Cal Fire on Saturday afternoon.

Cal Fire said the wildfire began on Thursday (September 10) and the cause was being investigated.
